The stainless steel machine screw has a plain finish and a pan head with a Phillips drive. Stainless steel resists corrosion and may be magnetic. The Phillips drive has an x-shaped slot that accepts a Phillips driver and is designed to allow the driver to slip out of the head to help prevent over-tightening and damage to the thread or fastener. The pan head has a flat top and short vertical sides with a rounded top edge.Machine screws are threaded fasteners that are typically used with nuts or drilled and tapped (threaded) holes. Machine screws are available with a variety of head shapes, which determine how the screw interacts with the mating surface, and drive styles, which determine the type of driver required to install and remove the screw.

What can you review about screws? Either they fit your need (they did), or they don't...couldn't find them locally at Lowes so ordered from Amazon, where you can get just about anything you want...Stainless Steel Machine Screw, Plain Finish, Pan Head, Phillips Drive, 5/8" Length, #5-40 ThreadsBrought these screws to replace a screw in my Powermatic II cigarette machine. This is the screw size that holds the mechanism that moves the spoon so it gets a lot of pressure. If you own a Powermatic II, at some point you are going to have to take it apart to clean it. The machine will not work without this particular screw. My screw was in so tight from the factory that the head was destroyed trying to taking it out to clean the tobacco sentiment. And, that machine was full of tobacco in no time. I replaced it with this screw and it was perfect! I'm happy! The screws are #3-56 as advertised. These are not common screws so it might make sense to verify that this is the size you need before ordering them. I was unable to find any screws like this at the local hardware store. The #4 screws are much more common. These screws are hard to find and the price was good. FYI, #3 is an English size screw that is roughly 0.099" in diameter with 56 threads / inch (UNF fine pitch). It is not an M3 (i.e. 3mm diameter) metric screw. Stainless steel is great since it doesn't rust easily. The pan head is larger than the heads of some other screws. We used these screws to replace missing XLR (microphone) connector backshell screws.Good productI love the quality of these screws. The threads are clean and easy to use, compared to other screws which are cheaply made and are difficult to attach. I do heavy-duty wall mounting everyday and my clients expect fast service, so it's great to know that the screws will attach to the bolts quickly and easily.Good quality and won't rust.Solid and good threads. As expected, works great.Would buy again! This is the perfect height almost all custom/resto diecast cars. I had purchased another set with torx pan heads but they were a little long for some of the cars. I'm not too too concerned about what type of bit head it is, as long as it's clean and snugs up the base. You will need a 2-56 tap and drill bit (if you don't have one already).arrived quite quickly, and so far quite pleased with the productWe used these for mounting some delicate electronics. Perfect for three job, easy to use.Son tornillos difíciles de conseguir y aqui se encuentran a buen precio.Availability was important to complete a project
