Zinc Plated M6-1 Steel Machine Screws, Pack of 50 - for DIY & Furniture Assembly

They are a screw and do the job. I needed 4 of them to mount a computer LCD to a stand, and will use the others over time. Lowes and Home Depot don't stock well and cost a lot. I looked for this at Lowes and they had the place where it should have been but of course it was filled with the wrong packages and was a general mess. Gould have got longer ones and cut them off but why bother. I could have got them at my Ace Hardware but that would have required a special trip and I di not need them right away. For hardware I use Amazon when possible and don't bother looking for items. If I need something right away I support my local Ace Hardware which has great service and is stocked well. My local Ace Hardware is worth their price premium. They were all their, got 100 and there were no damaged or bad ones.Order things like this through the Industrial and Scientific section of Amazon, NOT the new Amazon Commercial store, or whatever they are calling it.I got these in a few days, and the quality is perfect, coatings are great, no mis-stamped ones, and packaged nicely. I use them in guitar building to hold pickups.I ordered another length through the Amazon Industrial Store, or whatever, and after three "out of stock" emails asking if I wanted to keep waiting, I cancelled and ordered them through Industrial and Scientific and had the second size in a few days.Otherwise, the product comes through exactly as you would expect, in a high quality product.I uses these screws to mount my 32in Sony Bravia and they worked well but I will say, for those of you who can't read screw sizes (like me) the diameter of the head of the screw is a little small, so you would need a smaller washer to hold the screw. The washers that came with my mounting bracket, the screw would go right through it. Luckily for me I had smaller washers on hand and I was able to switch it out. But the length of the screw was a perfect M4 (40mm).Most of the screws in this class are great the first time used. However if repeated insertions are required you'll find yourself replacing them quite often. The head of the screw strips very easily while screwing them into place. While i realize this may be a design feature of the tool to prevent over - tightening for the screw used. It seems to strip without much force. I'll buy them again due to their cheap price and amazon prime offering however for move-able parts they may not be the best option.I ordered these to mount monitors (OK, This is a Zinc plated steel machine screw. Why a review?Because it's the right size to mount my Pioneer AVIC910-BT car stereo into it's custom mount.Thread pitch is correct for most Pioneer stereo holes when not using a slide in double din style mount.Super handy if you, say, need to direct mount an AVIC9xx-xx series into a custom plastic or wood sleeve.I don't need 100 of them, but seriously trying to sell one at a time is understandably a huge issue.Perfect! Just what I needed.Rather than making a trip to the local supplier to dig around the bins and probably not find the quantity I needed I simply measured the existing screws and fired off an order to Amazon Prime.
