The 18-8 stainless steel machine screw has a black oxide finish and a pan head with a Phillips drive, and meets American Society of Mechanical Engineers ASME B18.6.3 specifications. The 18-8 stainless steel material provides strength and offers good corrosion resistance in many environments. The material may be slightly magnetic. The black oxide finish provides mild corrosion resistance and lubricity. The Phillips drive has an x-shaped slot that accepts a Phillips driver and is designed to allow the driver to slip out of the head to help prevent over-tightening and damage to the thread or fastener. The pan head has a flat top and short vertical sides with a rounded top edge. Machine screws are threaded fasteners that are typically used with nuts or drilled and tapped (threaded) holes. Machine screws are available with a variety of head shapes, which determine how the screw interacts with the mating surface, and drive styles, which determine the type of driver required to install and remove the screw.

I got these for pickup mounting on prototype electric guitars that I make. It works fine and looks cool.I bought the screws to use in the installation of a secondary hard drive into my Dell PC. The screws did exactly what they were designed to do, securely mount the hard drive into the bracket in my Dell PC.What else is there to say?Great replacement screws for Ameritron linear amplifier. Quality is better then OEM screws. The screws that I received were high quality and served my model railroading applications well. Much more cost effective to buy in these quantities.I was unable to locate any of these at local brick and mortar, so I was glad to find these. They're solid quality; all of the pieces I've used so far have been consistent and threaded smoothly.Just what I needed to hook my fans up to my radiators (computer). They are the correct size and fit perfectly
