The off-white nylon 6/6 hex bolt has an external hex drive and meets American Society for Testing and Materials ASTM D4066 and D6779 specifications. Nylon 6/6 provides resistance to abrasion, corrosion, and many chemicals and solvents. The material is a strong yet lightweight plastic and is nonconductive. Nylon 6/6 can either absorb or lose moisture, which may alter its dimensions and mechanical properties. The external hex drive has six flat sides that a wrench can grip to turn the screw from the side, enabling use when there is no space above the head for a driver.Cap screws and hex bolts are threaded fasteners with thick hex-shaped heads that can be used with threaded nuts or in areas with limited clearance above the tapped (threaded) hole. Cap screws have slightly different dimensions than hex bolts and have a washer face underneath their unflanged hex head to act as a large bearing surface against the mating material.

Got these little gems for exactly the same reason as two other reviewers....for my Method Wheels with fake bead lock bolts. In my case they were Method NV's with (24) M8-1.25 x 8mm bolts around each wheel lip. These are 6MM long which perfectly replaces the 8mm long bolts minus the washer. Eliminating the washer allows you further hide the fastener making them almost flush with the wheel lip. Also nice to know these will never rust, corrode, or lose their matte black color.I just hope they get more back in stock for future Method Wheel lovers.These are perfect for a license plate, since they won't rust or corrode like all the metal ones. They fit my e92 335i, so they should fit any e90/91/92, and probably lots of other BMW and German models. The only disadvantage is that the heads of the bolts are not quite big enough for the holes in my plate frame. They work fine, but the head is only catching one side of the frame. A washer would fix this easily, but it works fine as is so I'm happy.I don't know what the other 2 reviewers got, but what received though it claims M3.5-06 it is anything but that.I measured and compared the diameter with some actual M3.5 and there is a difference of about.2mm.The real ones are around 3.44mm and the ones received from Amazon are 3.25mm.I will try to order a new bag maybe it is just a case of mistaken identity but if they are the same, than there must be 2 different metric standards that i wasn't aware of.Decent. Yet pricy.When I want to hold some stuff together, and they have threaded 6/6 holes, a 6/6 hex bolt is just the thing. And these are bolts alright, extremely bolty, what more could a man in search of bolts ask?it's what was advertisedit's what was advertisedI purchased these to replace the Zing bolts around the fake beadlock on some Method Wheels. Fitment was great. There was a couple extra in the bag so that's a plus.
