Socket Cap Screws, also known as Allen head screws, are reliable and durable and are used in many applications. They are available in a variety of head styles and materials.Stainless steels are used for their corrosion resistance, high-temperature strength, scaling resistance, and low-temperature toughness. These properties account for their extremely wide use in practically every industry. Austenitic Stainless Steels are alloys of iron and carbon that contain between 16% and 30% Chromium, a maximum of 0.15% carbon, along with Nickel (or Manganese), and other alloying elements. The chromium, which helps develop a passive surface oxide film, provides corrosion resistance in stainless steels. Austenitic Stainless Steels are designated by a 3 digit SAE Stainless Steel Grade beginning with the number 3 (e.g. 304, 316). Another common naming convention for Austenitic Stainless Steels are 18/8, 18/10, 18/0, etc. where the 18 refers to the % of Chromium and 8 to the % of Nickel contained in the material. With a high cylindrical head, socket cap head fasteners have a recessed driving area and offer high hold power at high torque levels. Hex socket drive systems are driven by hex wrenches or power tools with hexagonal bits.A threaded fastener's size name includes information about the major external diameter (in millimeters), followed by the thread pitch (millimeters per thread), which indicates if it is coarse or fine. Coarse threads are better when working with brittle materials; they are sturdier and are easier to thread and unthread compared to fine. Coarse threading also allows for thicker coatings and platings.

I'm using these washers with These screws come in a paper box. They are well machined and come with a bright finish. Good screws to have on hand or use on robotics, 3d printers or quadcopter projects. Not much else to say about them. Good quality metric fasteners are hard to find locally at reasonable prices. I suspect I'll be ordering more of these in the future in addition to other sizes.I purchased these to replace the Phillips head screws on the float bowl on my dirt bike. I was tired of stripping them out or having a hard time accessing the "far" screws. This makes it easy. And the price is 1/10th of what the local bike parts shop wanted. The length was perfect, just slightly shorter than the OEM screws.Excellent finish, and accurately made. I wanted to find something wrong with them, because of the low price, but I couldn't. I haven't encountered an improperly rolled thread, or an inaccurately aligned head, or even an improper length. I have no way to accurately measure the strength, but they seem to tolerate as much abuse as I've given them.Although the cardboard box they came in was a regular hardware store carboard flimsy type box, I did not buy these for the box, and as far as the product goes, these are tough, quality construction allen bolts which will last a lifetime. For the price, trust me, you won't go wrong on this one.the dest price for any nut and boltsgood quality.Good quality parts. No garbage threads, no poorly machined head etc. Quality product for a fair price. Steel appears to be a high quality stainless.
