Product Description

Component Flat Washers are named for their original popularity as a component of a jig or fixture, where a thicker washer was needed for the extra strength and load distribution properties that accompany the extra thickness. Our Component Washers are available from #4 screw size all the way thru 1-1/2" Bolt sizes. All Component Washers are thicker than any standard washer in general use. We provide two lines from stock - Thick and Extra Thick. Smaller diameters have a 5/64" thickness, going all the way up to 3/8" thickness, with the 1/8" thick line being the most popular. These washers are either stamped on power presses or turned on our lathes depending on the quantities we manufacture, and the wall thickness of the washer, which is the relationship between the thickness and the Inner Diameter dimension. All of these are suitable for use anywhere extra strength is needed. 18-8 Stainless Steel material offers excellent corrosion resistance, are harder than Brass, exhibit a slight magnetism, and are an attractive silver color. Made in the USA. These flat washers are produced in the USA for excellent quality conformance. One of the significant differences between less expensive imported products and ours are the way we stamp. Many cheap imports are produced on gang dies that produce 10 or more washers per stroke of the press. Using such a large die means that the individual washer sets are not adjustable - when the punch wears, the dimensions change and there is no way to fix this as the press produces washers, leading to a large variation in the finished part. Materials available in many other countries are not as consistent as the domestic steels we use, which gives the imports a cheaper cost, but can lead to failures and inconsistencies when the products are used. The Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) was created to address this problem. Our materials are DFARS compliant although we do not supply the certification except on special order.

fast delivery perfect conditionThe washers are nice but hole is actually not 3/8'' as the title says a 3/8'' bolt would not go trough. Hope this helpedBought these to spread out clamping force on a two by four. They are perfect, sized as described. Strong and no flex to them. They're even nicely deburred. American made! These washers are not "attracted" to a magnet so won't suit my needs. It may well be my ignorance in thinking that any metal washer would stick to a magnet. So if you're looking for a small washer to use with a small magnet to make a clasp for your papercrafts, don't choose this washer.washers just what I needed the 3/4 hole size didn't make sense but the dimensions were correct.seem to be well made.I would have preferred a shiny finish bag they were the right diameter and thickness and it will be used in a shop the box toy project. This washer is WAY nicer than the photograph suggests. The washer is smoothly polished all the way around, which was important to me because I'm using a couple them an escutcheon around a bathtub spout that was sitting away from a tile wall. They look so nice it seems a shame to put them on the underside of truck bed but hey, they worked great as spacers for spare tire carrier bolts. These washers are not 10 Hole Size. They are actually the size used for number 6 screws and not the number 10 size headlined in the screws text description. The hole was supposed to be 1/4” but they were actually about 1/32” too small so a 1/4 “ bolt wouldn’t fit.Low-quality stainle3ss.A magnet sticks to these. If installed outdoor these would show rust in a year. Returning.Big metal washers. Just what I ordered.Good
