The only reason I gave 4 stars is because they took SO long to arrive.I use these in DIY plexiglass (acrylic) 'tabbed box' laser cut chassis. they are decorative and functional (and let me access the insides of a chassis without using tools)They are not steel... they are nickel plated brass... it's printed on the package "nickel plated brass"... I purchased the 1/4x20 thread pattern... the listing on Amazon clearly says steel...I was going to give one star but I gave 2 due to "made in USA"
