This flexible, non-toxic tubing is suitable for a wide range of manufacturing operations. It is made of ether-based polyurethane, which is nonconductive and has good chemical and UV radiation resistance. It is also resistant to oil, weather, ozone, heat, and electricity. It has a Shore A Hardness rating of 85 for resistance to abrasion and tearing. It has an operating temperature range of -90 to +175 degrees F. It meets FDA standards for use with wet and fatty food contact surfaces and National Sanitation Foundation NSF-61 standards for use with potable water. This flexible transparent tubing is suitable for use in granular transfer lines, grease lines, insulating sleeves, metering pumps, oxygen and other gas lines, and robotics, among other applications.Plastic tubing is used to transfer liquids, air, or solids, and it is characterized by a round, rectangular, or square shape and a hollow center. The product met my expectations and also arrived on time. Unfortunately the outside diameter I estimated was too large for my job. I should have requested 3/32" OD instead of 1/8" OD.I needed to order this to finish hooking up a water softener. The softener in on one side of the basement, the drain on the other.
