My father has Alzheimer's and watching the birds is one of his last true joys in life. I started placing various bird feeders around our South Florida property, but they were usually cheap, Chinese made products that do not hold up to our blistering heat and humidity. I was so disappointed in what is available, I even drew out my own plans of what would be the best design. Then I found this beauty.This feeder is gorgeous. Proud to put it in the front yard. And as you can see, the local wild parrots like it too. It is very sturdy (and heavy) and should outlast me with a little care.Remember, bird feeders need to keep seed dry, be easy to clean, and be easy to fill. The excellent drainage in this unit should meet all my requirements. Wish i had just bought this first.
